After a remarkable rally on Wednesday, Wall Street experienced a sharp decline on Thursday.

U.S. stock futures fell on Thursday night as investors prepared to close a volatile trading week marked by dramatic market swings. Nasdaq-100 futures led declines, dropping 1.26% to 18,251.75, while S&P 500 futures fell 1.04% to 5,247.00 and Dow futures slipped 0.88% to 39,448.00.

This earnings season is going to unfold against a historically volatile backdrop, with some of the biggest moves we’ve seen in years, if not decades.

Wall Street braces for a volatile Friday as big bank earnings, inflation data, and consumer sentiment take center stage after a wild week.

JPMorgan analyst downgrades Eversource Energy and Portland General Electric Co due to recession and tariff risks, lowering price forecasts.

Shares of several bank stocks including JP Morgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM), Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) and Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE:WFC) are trading lower Thursday, reversing gains from the previous session.

According to a Stocktwits poll that received 1,500 votes, 49% of the respondents say they are bearish on bank results in the wake of a slowing economy and falling margins.

Morgan Stanley cuts outlook on banks, BofA expects caution from JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, BlackRock earnings due Friday.

He also said that China is now isolated as other trading partners are looking to make deals.

The biggest U.S. bank is expected to report adjusted earnings of $4.57 per share on revenue of $44.14 billion.
