Getnick Law Promotes Courtney Finerty-Stelzner to Partner

Getnick Law is pleased to announce the promotion of Courtney Finerty-Stelzner to partner.

Ms. Finerty-Stelzner is actively involved in the firm’s whistleblower, anti-fraud litigation, and business integrity practices. She represents clients in a range of matters in federal and state court, including whistleblowers in qui tam cases under the federal and New York False Claims Acts, commercial disputes, and complex anti-fraud cases. For example, she was a key member of the team that represented approximately 40 health insurers in a lawsuit against GlaxoSmithKline, LLC, alleging that GSK knowingly manufactured drugs under conditions that violated federal manufacturing standards, a case resolved by settlement on the eve of trial.

“Courtney’s work is consistently exceptional,” said Neil Getnick, the managing partner of Getnick Law. “We look forward to her continued growth as one of the nation’s top whistleblower and anti-fraud lawyers and to the great results she will continue to generate for our clients.”

Ms. Finerty-Stelzner is an active member of several professional associations. Her positions include serving as chair of the Civil Prosecution Committee in the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association. She also serves on multiple committees for The Anti-Fraud Coalition (“TAF Coalition”), a public interest non-profit organization dedicated to fighting fraud against the government by working to protect whistleblowers and strengthen whistleblower laws.

Prior to joining Getnick Law, Ms. Finerty-Stelzner was a litigation associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She earned her J.D. (cum laude) from Cornell Law School and her B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) from Cornell University.

Getnick Law is a premier, New York-based, boutique law firm fighting fraud and promoting business integrity by representing whistleblowers under federal and state laws, conducting complex investigations and litigation, and counseling commercial clients throughout the country and internationally.
