PCI Continues to Power Nonprofits Across the Country

Hope House, Every Mother’s Advocate, Trees of Hope, and Riley’s Cheer Guild Benefit from PCI Powerhouse Fund Contributions

Postal Center International (PCI), an industry leader in mail, print, and creative marketing, recently supported four nonprofit organizations that are changing lives and strengthening communities. Funds were distributed from the PCI Powerhouse Fund, an internal giving initiative launched by company founders Arturo and Susan Echarte and PCI’s Executive Team in December 2022, to support causes that uplift women, children, and families in crisis.

The most recent donations—to Every Mother’s Advocate (EMA), Hope House, and Trees of Hope—were presented on May 20 and 21 at PCI’s national headquarters in Weston, Florida. The ceremonies were attended by the nonprofit leaders, PCI’s Founders, and Executive Leadership Team. An earlier donation was made on May 15, during the grand opening of PCI Midwest in Indianapolis, Indiana, where Riley’s Cheer Guild Inc. also received a sizeable donation from the Fund.

“These organizations are lifelines in our communities, and we are proud to partner with them in their efforts to break cycles of trauma, restore dignity, and bring hope,” said Ismael Diaz, President & CEO of PCI. “The PCI Powerhouse Fund is one way we live our values and demonstrate that corporate success and social responsibility go hand in hand.”

“Our goal in launching the PCI Powerhouse Fund was to be a force for good—powering change where it’s needed most,” said Arturo and Susan Echarte, PCI’s Founders. “These organizations align deeply with our mission to uplift people and provide a stronger foundation for the future. We’re inspired by their work and honored to support their journey.”

Hope House Florida is a safe haven for survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. With a trauma-informed, survivor-led model, Hope House provides comprehensive residential programs, life skills training, and therapeutic services to help women transition into independent living.

Tara Johnson, Executive Director of Hope House, said the Powerhouse Fund donation will support several key programs, including our financial literacy workshops, home economics training, mental health counseling, baby care and parenting classes, and job readiness courses.

“These are foundational to helping our moms gain the tools they need to thrive long after they leave Hope House,” said Johnson. She expressed delight at her organization being selected as a recipient of the Powerhouse Fund.

“Being selected as a recipient is incredibly meaningful to us. It affirms the importance of our work and reminds us that we are not alone on this mission. It’s a powerful message to the moms we serve—that people and businesses like PCI see their potential and are willing to invest in their futures. It also tremendously encourages our team and supporters who have walked with us on this journey,” said Johnson.

“From all of us at Hope House—thank you for choosing to stand with young mothers at one of the most vulnerable and pivotal moments of their lives. Your generosity sends a powerful message: that they are seen, valued, and not alone. Because of you, a mom will sleep peacefully in a safe place tonight. Because of you, a baby will have a healthy start. Because of you, a young woman will begin to believe in herself again. Your support is more than a donation—it’s a ripple of hope that will impact generations,” Johnson added.

Trees of Hope works to end the cycle of abuse by educating youth and adults on how to identify, prevent, and respond to sexual abuse. Their evidence-based prevention programs serve thousands across South Florida every year.

Nicole Escobar, Executive Director of Trees of Hope, was equally ecstatic about being a recipient of PCI’s Powerhouse Fund. She said the generous funding from PCI will allow Trees of Hope to expand and enhance several key initiatives that align directly with their mission to prevent abuse and support survivors.

“With this support, we will develop a comprehensive, user-friendly prevention guide designed to educate parents on the realities of human trafficking in the U.S. and how to safeguard their children. We’ll also produce a “Prevent” video training series on YouTube, offering practical tools and insights to help parents and caregivers worldwide protect the next generation. Additionally, we plan to translate two of our core healing studies—Flourish for young girls and Shelter for women—into Creole, in partnership with Calvary Chapel’s missionary team, to bring vital healing resources to vulnerable communities in Haiti. To further support survivors, we will create a weekly video series based on the Shelter curriculum, guiding women to our Online Learning Portal for deeper healing and connection. Beyond these educational tools, we’re also investing in ongoing content creation, including blog posts, podcast episodes, and social media outreach, to share consistent messages of prevention and hope with a growing global audience. Through these efforts, PCI’s donation will have a lasting impact—empowering parents, protecting children, and providing accessible healing to survivors locally and internationally,” said Escobar.

“To the associates and leadership at PCI—thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity through the Powerhouse Fund is more than a donation; it’s a statement of belief in our work and the lives we’re striving to change. Your support not only empowers us to expand vital programs and reach underserved communities, but it also reminds our team—and the individuals we serve—that we’re not alone in this mission. Because of you, we can dream bigger, reach further, and offer lasting hope and healing to those who need it most. We’re honored to be among the organizations you’ve chosen to champion, and we’re deeply grateful for your commitment to making a tangible, lasting difference in the world,” Escobar continued.

Every Mother’s Advocate (EMA) partners with child welfare systems to empower mothers at risk of losing their children to foster care. Through legal advocacy, mentorship, and resource navigation, EMA equips moms to keep families together and end the cycle of intergenerational trauma.

Katrina Robb, EMA's vice president of Advancement, said corporate partnerships like PCI were “absolutely vital” for her organization to sustain its mission.

“Organizations like PCI bring more than funding—they bring credibility, strategic counsel, and human capital in the form of volunteers and brand champions. Corporate partnerships help us scale impact while maintaining quality, extend our reach into new communities, and model what it means to give back in ways that are relational and redemptive. PCI is setting a powerful example: when business and mission come together, families win,” said Robb.

“This donation directly advances EMA’s mission: to prevent family separation by advocating for mothers in crisis. Locally, in Broward County, it will provide mothers with one-on-one advocacy, parenting education, and trauma-informed wraparound services. These efforts ensure that moms are not only supported with tangible resources—but are also surrounded by community, empowered to stabilize their homes, and given the opportunity to raise their children in nurturing environments. Nationally, the grant accelerates the launch of our Volunteer Mobilization Strategy—a scalable initiative that equips churches, businesses, and civic groups to train community-based advocates. These volunteers walk alongside mothers in crisis, providing mentorship, emotional support, and consistent relational presence. Both initiatives are deeply aligned with EMA’s vision: a world where mothers are no longer separated from their children due to preventable causes but are equipped and empowered to raise their children in stable and nurturing homes. By supporting moms before systems intervene, PCI’s investment helps us not only meet urgent needs today—it also builds the foundation for sustainable, community-powered solutions that can change outcomes for generations to come,” Robb added.

Riley’s Cheer Guild Inc., based in Indiana, brings joy and comfort to pediatric patients and their families through art, music, and play therapy at Riley Hospital for Children. Their programs are designed to reduce anxiety and create positive hospital experiences.

Since its inception, the PCI Powerhouse Fund has donated to numerous impactful organizations, including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, OneHope, 4KIDS, Taylor’s Closet Foundation, Firewall Centers, Franklin Food Pantry, Mobile School Pantry Inc., Chosen Care, Inc., San Antonio Food Bank, and Purpose Academy. Each contribution reflects PCI’s ironclad commitment to supporting local communities and investing in a brighter future for all.

“Seeing the direct impact these donations have on women, children, and families is incredibly moving,” said Dennis R. Garcia, Executive VP & CFO. “It reinforces our belief that when companies lead with heart, real change happens. Our associates take great pride in being part of a workplace that powers purpose beyond profit.”
