Digi International Announces 2025 Green Tech Customer Innovation Award Winners
These initiatives include the transformation of streetlights into smart, IoT-enabled devices, intelligent energy monitoring and management to enhance efficiency and reduce energy usage, and precision agriculture systems that optimize irrigation practices to help farmers lower costs and save water and energy while optimizing crop production and improving sustainability.
One example of this year’s award winners is NuOz, recognized for its innovations in smart building enablement. NuOz utilizes Digi’s cellular solutions to deliver energy monitoring, control, and cost reduction across facilities — helping organizations to optimize energy use and strengthen their commitment to sustainability goals.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Digi for our work in sustainable smart building solutions,” said Samantha Agee, Vice President of Business Development at NuOz. “We’ve relied on Digi cellular solutions for eight years. They’re extremely reliable and price competitive. We can get live data every five minutes and set alarms and thresholds if readings exceed tolerances. We have our finger on the energy pulse every hour of every day and we really like the remote-management capabilities, because we can monitor each individual sensor and alert the customer in real time if there are any anomalies — even before they’d notice it themselves.”
This year’s Green Tech Award winners are industry pioneers that exemplify how technology can be leveraged to improve efficiency, enhance resource conservation, and minimize environmental impact across multiple sectors.
Spanning six categories, Digi’s 2025 Green Tech Customer Innovation Awards honor the following companies for their technology innovation:
- Agricultural Weather Monitoring: Origo.ag
- Agricultural Soil Monitoring: IRROMETER
- Smart City Lighting: Dimonoff
- Industrial Sensing and Control: Innotek
- Smart Building Enablement: NuOz
- Intelligent Sensor Networks: NCD
“We are proud to recognize these exceptional organizations for their commitment to sustainability and their forward-thinking use of IoT technology,” said Ron Konezny, Digi International President and CEO. “These innovators have developed and deployed cutting edge applications with Digi solutions that optimize energy use, improve resource management, and create more sustainable systems. Their dedication to environmental stewardship serves as an inspiration for industries worldwide.”
Digi International is committed to supporting its customers as they continue to develop and implement technology solutions that make a meaningful impact on the health of our planet. The IoT advancements of Digi customers — from innovative enterprises to industrial and agricultural organizations to municipalities and smart cities — are helping to drive the mission of better resource management and sustainability.
