The LR-PGK improves the accuracy of unguided artillery projectiles with low-cost navigation and guidance technology.

BAE Systems has received a $107.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy to modernize the guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71). Under this extended dry-docking selected restricted availability (EDSRA) contract, the company will perform the modernization work at its Norfolk, Virginia shipyard. The contract includes options that, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to $123.8 million.

BAE Systems, Inc. has unveiled its backside illuminated (BSI) “Hawkeye” HWK1411 ultra low-light image sensor, enabling market-leading night vision capabilities with reduced size, weight, and power. The 1.6 megapixel sensor provides high-performance imaging capabilities in all light conditions, and is optimal for battery-powered soldier systems, unmanned platforms, and targeting and surveillance applications.

BAE Systems, Inc.’s 155mm ARCHER wheeled howitzer system successfully completed testing during the U.S. Army’s “shoot off” evaluation, as the service evaluates whether to add a wheeled capability to its arsenal. ARCHER is a fully automated mobile weapon system that provides highly responsive and versatile fire support to troops in combat.

BAE Systems, Inc. has successfully tested APKWS® laser-guided rockets in precision strike tests against Class 2 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) at Yuma Proving Grounds. The 2.75” test rockets combined standard M151 warheads and Mk66 motors with APKWS precision guidance kits and a newly developed proximity fuze – enabling them to engage and destroy airborne drones at a fraction of the cost of traditional counter-UAS (C-UAS) strike capabilities.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) awarded BAE Systems, Inc. contracts totaling approximately $139.7 million for Energy Automation Operational Technology Sustainment. Under these task order contracts, BAE Systems will provide engineering and technical support services to help improve DLA’s ability to provision the Department of Defense’s (DoD) missions around the world.

The U.S. Army, on Aug. 24, 2021, has awarded BAE Systems, Inc. an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide life-cycle sustainment and technical support to the Limited Interim Missile Warning System (LIMWS) program. The 10-year contract has a ceiling value of $872 million.

The U.S. Navy has awarded BAE Systems, Inc. a $26 million contract for Identification Friend-or-Foe (IFF) spares for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. Under the contract, BAE Systems will provide Beamforming Networks (BFNs), an integral part of antenna control for the AN/APX-122A IFF Interrogator system, onboard the carrier-capable tactical aircraft.
